Welcome!

I'm Kenna, a licensed clinical social worker and therapist living in Portland, OR and practicing in NY, OR and MA.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in a fast-paced, high-pressure industry that quickly led to burnout. As both an eldest daughter and an Asian American woman, I’ve spent a lot of my own life examining the roles we are taught to play - by family, by culture, by society - and what it can look like to explore stepping out of them.

My approach is collaborative, culturally attuned and grounded in curiosity. I work from a social justice, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed lens and often incorporate Internal Family Systems (or “parts” work) into my sessions. My role is to help you understand yourself more deeply and create a space where the real you can show up fully, authentically, and safely.

I am Japanese/Filipina American, born and raised in LA. I moved to Portland in 2022 after four years in New York, and travel often between the three cities. Outside of session, I'm an extraverted introvert, an INFP, and an enneagram 4 who spends most of my time hanging with my lab, Ryo, traveling, (slowly) learning how to garden, binging reality TV, and exploring the amazing food Portland has to offer.

I look forward to connecting with you!
