FAQ
-
I work with adults (18+) via telehealth in New York, Oregon, and Massachusetts. I offer individual therapy — I don't currently see couples, families, or children.
-
I am an out-of-network provider for most insurance companies. This means that if you have out-of-network coverage, after you meet your deductible, most insurance providers will reimburse you for a portion of the session fee.
Being OON allows me to minimize the amount of confidential information I am required to disclose to your insurance company and helps me to protect your privacy.
-
Yes, I hold a limited number of reduced rate spots on my caseload. I don't ask for proof of income, instead upon inquiry, we would have an honest conversation about what's sustainable for you. Please reach out and we can talk it through.
-
I ask for 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations (within 24 hours) and missed sessions are charged a $75 fee. Exceptions are made for emergencies only.
-
Upon request, I can prepare a superbill for you to submit to get reimbursement through your OON insurance coverage. I partner with Thrizer, which aims to simplify OON billing by streamlining claim filing and helping to secure direct reimbursements or lower upfront costs. You can get an estimate on costs based on coverage by inputting your insurance info below. I also recommend calling your provider to confirm your exact coverage. Here are some questions you may ask:
Is a pre-authorization or referral from a physician required for treatment?
What is my deductible amount? How much do I have remaining?
What percentage of the psychotherapy session fee is reimbursed?
Is there a maximum covered amount per session?
Is there a limit on number of sessions covered per year?
I don't believe finances should be a barrier to care. My goal is to keep therapy as affordable and accessible as possible. If you think you’d like to work together but the cost feels prohibitive, please reach out and we can explore your options together.
